As BRIT School alumni King Krule - real name Archy Marshall - gears up to release his latest single, A Lizard State, 2014 is shaping up to be the year his sound dominates the airwaves.

Closely compared to the likes of Morrissey and Edwyn Collins, the 19 year old London based singer's unmistakable tone sets him apart from his competitors and his unfiltered lyrics leave a lasting impact. With American Frank Ocean singing his praises, Marshall will take to the stage alongside Haim, Earl Sweatshirt and Jamie XX when he plays a set at Laneways Festival in October which is no doubt sure to be just one of his many festival appearances this year.
